In Winter-Spring 2008, the Pacific Public Health Training Center conducted three student outreach conferences in Northern, Southern, and Central California to increase student awareness about career opportunities in public health.

Each event provided access to information about California’s graduate schools of public health and other public health programs available in the state. Collectively, 258 students attended the conferences that took place in Los Angeles (February 29, 2008), Berkeley (March 1, 2008), and Fresno (April 12, 2008). Over 55 public health practitioners, faculty members and graduate students from various campuses and communities participated as presenters and/or panelists at the events.
